JULY 2025 NEWSLETTER
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9
A WORD FROM THE MISSION FIELD
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
We give all glory and honor to our Lord Jesus Christ, who continues to sustain us through trials, challenges, and victories. We thank each of you—our partners in the Gospel—for your prayers, love, and generosity. You are the reason Christian Mission South Haiti (CMSH) continues to be a light in the darkness for so many in Haiti.
THE REALITY ON THE GROUND
Haiti remains in a state of crisis. Violence, poverty, and instability continue to affect every level of daily life. Gang activity and lawlessness are increasing across many regions, particularly in southern Haiti. Despite these difficulties, the work of the church is advancing.

Recent immigration policy changes in the United States have brought fear and uncertainty to many Haitian families who rely on loved ones abroad for school fees, medical support, and daily survival. We ask for your prayers—especially for wisdom, understanding, and compassion as these changes unfold. CMSH is preparing to meet greater needs as local families face increasing pressure.
SCHOOL YEAR END & FACILITY REPAIRS
The 2024–2025 school year has come to a close. We thank God for every child who was taught not only academics but also the love of Christ through our mission-led schools. These schools operate on a nonprofit basis and depend entirely on your support.

With the new academic year approaching in September 2025, we face several urgent needs:
Building repairs for our school and orphanage structures
Paint and cement for the youth recreation space
Classroom labeling and furniture restoration
We ask you to prayerfully consider a financial gift toward these projects so that we can welcome students back with a safe and dignified environment.

AGRICULTURE: SMALL STEPS, BIG FAITH
Thanks to generous partners in past years, we have been able to develop a functioning corn garden using:
A deep water well
A submersible pump
A diesel generator
Our next step is to purchase additional plastic piping to irrigate larger portions of the land. This will allow us to serve 30–40 families per season. The work is slow, but with faith, we believe it will bear fruit in due time.
If you would like to help fund this agricultural outreach, please let us know. Your contribution helps feed the hungry and models sustainability and Christian stewardship.
MOTORCYCLE OUTREACH PROJECT
Many of our preachers and evangelists must travel by foot through dangerous and remote terrain to serve isolated congregations. A motorcycle can be the difference between reaching a village or missing a Sunday assembly.
We originally prayed for six motorcycles. So far, by God's grace and your generosity, we have received one.

Would you consider sponsoring or co-sponsoring a motorcycle? The cost is approximately $1,500. Every donation helps extend the Gospel further into the hills, valleys, and margins of our country.
PRAYER REQUESTS
We humbly ask you to keep the following in your prayers:
Jean Alix Lusma and family – for protection, provision, and especially for his daughter Joanie A. Lusma, who is expecting her first child in Pennsylvania.
Our preachers and teachers – who continue to serve without fear despite violence, poverty, and hardship.
The upcoming ministry trip to the United States scheduled for July 26, 2025 – that it may lead to new connections, support, and encouragement.
Our Annual Assembly in March 2026 – that the Lord may prepare the way spiritually and financially.
The September 2025 school reopening – that all needed resources and repairs may be in place.
