Christian Mission South Haiti Urgent Ministry Update and Prayer Request
Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ,
Grace and peace to you from the family of God here in southern Haiti. Every letter we write to you begins the same way — on our knees, giving thanks. Not because our circumstances are easy, but because our God has not moved. Revelation 13:8–9 reminds us that even as powers rise against God's people in this world, the Lamb who was slain from the foundation of the world still reigns. We hold to that truth as an anchor for our souls.
Haiti is walking through a very dark season. War, unrest, and hardship touch nearly every family we know. And yet, in the middle of it, God has kept His hand over Christian Mission South Haiti. We have seen Him provide when we could not see how. We have seen Him protect us when danger stood close. So even as we bring you these urgent needs, we do not bring them in despair — we bring them in faith, believing that the same God who has carried us this far will not set us down now.
Thank you, from the depths of our hearts, for your love, your prayers, and your faithful support of this work. You are not distant partners to us. You are family, laboring alongside us even from far away.
Three Churches in Urgent Need
1. Renaudin Church of Christ — A Painful Departure
This one grieves us to write. Years ago, a faithful sister gave the land where Renaudin Church now stands — a gift born of love for God's house. She has since passed into glory. But her son has turned from the faith and become a voodoo priest, and he is now building a voodoo temple barely ten feet from the church doors.
We believe, with heavy but resolved hearts, that the safest and wisest path is for the congregation to leave that ground and begin again on land of their own. Even a simple structure of wood and metal sheeting would give this church family a place to worship in peace and safety.
We are asking God to provide $12,500 to make this new beginning possible for the Renaudin congregation.
2. St. Jean Church of Christ — A Roof That Can No Longer Hold
At St. Jean, the congregation gathers under a roof so worn that sunlight — and rain — pour through the gaps in the metal. Much of the wood beneath it has rotted away. Still, they come. Still, they worship. But they cannot continue safely much longer without help.
The preacher tells us that $2,500 would be enough to begin real repairs and make the building sound again.
3. St. Martin Church of Christ — A Race Against the Storm
I have brought St. Martin before you more than once, because the need has not gone away — it has grown more urgent. Hurricane season is approaching, and without cement support posts to strengthen the structure, we risk losing this building entirely to the coming storms.
There is still time to act, but not much. Please hold St. Martin Church close in your prayers, and if the Lord lays it on your heart, in your giving as well.
Our School — Closed for the Summer, Never Closed in Our Hearts
Our school building sits quiet now, waiting for the 2026–2027 academic year to begin in September. But the children we serve are never far from our thoughts. Many of them come from homes where food, clothing, and even hope are in short supply. Jesus told us, "The poor you always have with you" — and He did not say it so we would look away, but so we would keep looking toward them.

Please Carry These Names to the Throne of Grace
Scripture tells us to pray without ceasing, and to bear one another's burdens.
So we bring these burdens to you, trusting you will carry them with us:
Brother Etienne Altema — recovering from surgery.
Brother Petithome George — in need of housing for himself and his family.
Brother Saunel — suffered a stroke and has lost his ability to speak.
The family of Brother Lemil Denis
Alex Lusma — in need of a vehicle, and for God's continued hand over his life and calling.
Louisaland Lusma, my youngest son.
