June 2025 Newsletter: Pressing On by Faith

"Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."– Galatians 6:9

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

We greet you in the matchless name of our risen Savior, Jesus Christ.

As we enter the month of June, we write to you from a place of deep concern and unwavering faith. The current situation in Haiti remains dire—mercenaries and violent gangs continue to wreak havoc across our cities and countryside. Many of our fellow citizens, including brothers and sisters in the faith, are without steady income or access to basic necessities. In the midst of these trials, Christian Mission South Haiti (CMSH) remains committed to our calling. We are working diligently to repair many of our damaged church buildings so that congregations can continue to gather and worship in safety and strength.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to those who have already donated to our motorcycle project. Your generosity is deeply appreciated and impactful. However, we are still far from reaching our goal, and the need remains urgent. Please continue to pray and consider partnering with us as we equip our ministers with reliable transportation to reach remote regions.

Though the work is hard and the challenges great, our mission remains clear: to preach the Gospel, disciple the saved, and serve the hurting. Your prayers, encouragement, and support sustain us.

A Call to Prayer

We humbly ask for your continued prayers. Haiti remains a spiritual battleground, but we stand firm in the promise of Romans 8:37:“In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

Please join us in praying for:

  • Spiritual growth in our congregations across Haiti

  • Protection from spiritual warfare, discouragement, and violence

  • Wisdom and discernment for our leaders and ministers

  • Revival and renewal among our youth and families

Your prayers are a powerful weapon in this battle and a lifeline to our mission.

Motorcycles for Ministry

Many of our ministers serve in remote areas with poor infrastructure and limited transportation. Some walk hours to bring the Gospel to scattered congregations. A reliable motorcycle is not a luxury—it’s a lifeline for ministry.

We are currently seeking funding for five motorcycles, each costing approximately $1,500. Would you prayerfully consider sponsoring or partially supporting one?

As Jesus commands in Matthew 28:19, “Go and make disciples of all nations,” and in Haiti, that often begins with a motorcycle ride into the mountains.

Support Our Teachers

CMSH operates several schools in impoverished communities. Our teachers are the heartbeat of these institutions—nurturing young minds and modeling Christ-like character. Yet, due to ongoing financial constraints, we struggle to provide them with the compensation they deserve.

We are praying for partners who are willing to provide monthly or quarterly support toward teacher salaries. Your gift directly impacts the spiritual and educational development of the next generation of Christian leaders in Haiti.

“The worker deserves his wages” (1 Timothy 5:18). Let us honor those who serve with love and integrity.

Spire Convention 2025

CMSH is planning to attend the Spire Convention later this year. This opportunity allows us to share our mission, connect with fellow ministries, and build relationships that will support the work in Haiti for years to come.

However, participation comes with costs—including booth registration, travel, lodging, and promotional materials. Our total need is $3,500. We ask for your prayers and financial help to make this possible.

Will you consider contributing toward this trip and helping us represent Haiti's voice and needs?

Pray for Jean Alix Lusma and Family

Please lift up Brother Jean Alix Lusma, CMSH Director and dedicated minister in Les Cayes. He and his family continue to serve faithfully in one of the most challenging regions in the country.

Pray specifically for:

  • Physical and spiritual protection

  • Strength and encouragement in ministry

  • Financial provision and ongoing support

As Hebrews 6:10 reminds us, “God is not unjust; He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them.”

The Mission Must Continue

Despite many setbacks—including a recent car accident en route to a church service—the mission moves forward. Though the vehicle was severely damaged, we were still able to complete the service and return home safely.

This is the story of CMSH: when challenges arise, God provides. He sends faithful brothers and sisters—like you—to help us press on.

We serve a God who never fails. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7).

How You Can Help This Month

  1. Adopt a preacher or teacher – Commit to regular prayer and monthly support.

  2. Sponsor a motorcycle – Equip a minister to reach more souls.

  3. Support our Spire Convention trip – Help us tell Haiti’s story and gain vital support.

  4. Spread the word – Share this newsletter with others who have a heart for missions.

Closing Words

Beloved, thank you for being part of this journey. Every prayer, every gift, and every word of encouragement makes a difference.

Haiti is in desperate need—but Jesus is enough. We press on, not by our own strength, but by His abundant grace.

"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."– 1 Corinthians 15:58
